This new tank gauge works on a very simple principle. If you put a small tube to the bottom of any liquid, then pump air through the tube to remove all the fluid from it, then the atmospheric pressure or back presure on the fluid is directly proportional to the depth of fluid (taking density into account).

A simple pipe (available seperately as part no. SST) is fitted to the top of the tank and goes full depth to the bottom of the tank. The pipe is 1 metre long and can be cut to suit the depth of the tank. The tank pipe is then connected to the air pump with a length of rubber tube. The air pump is then connected to the LED gauge with a 5 metre cable.

IMORTANT...The system must only be used where the pump sensor unit can be fitted above the level of the highest point on the tank system, i.e. above the height of the fill point.
